In short

This website uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking services, no advertising networks and no social media plugins. No profiling takes place. All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS.

Hosting and server logs

The website runs on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The server is located in Germany.

When pages are requested, the web server automatically records access data in log files: IP address, date and time of access, the address requested, volume of data transferred, HTTP status code, referrer, and browser and operating system identifiers. This data serves solely the secure and stable operation of the site and is not combined with other data sources.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in technically sound operation and in defending against attacks. Log files are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Contact form

The contact form collects your name, email address and the message itself. These details are forwarded by email to my mailbox; delivery goes through Hostinger's email service. Nothing is stored in a database on the web server.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry is directed towards entering into a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. The data remains in my mailbox until the purpose for keeping it no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Providing this data is voluntary. However, without a name, email address and message the enquiry cannot be processed. You are welcome to get in touch directly by email or phone instead.

Contact form spam protection

To guard against automated submissions, the form receives a signed timestamp when the page loads, which is sent along with the submission. No cookies are set, no personal data is stored, and no data is passed to third parties. In particular, no external captcha service is used.

Fonts

All fonts are served locally from this server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external provider, and no IP address is transmitted to third parties.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). Any consent given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

An informal message to the email address above is enough to exercise these rights.

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority here is the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
